We saw several of these baobab trees, which are famous for being able to store water in their trunks so they can survive in the dry season
Cedric taking a photo when we stopped for refreshments among some acacia trees, before descending into the crater where there were few trees
We soon saw some gazelles. The guide told us the names of all the different animals but it was difficult to remember them all!
There were some wildebeest left behind here - most migrate around the Serengeti but there's enough water for these ones in the crater
A herd of zebra with some trees and the edge of the Ngorongoro crater behind - we had to drive up there when we left!
