Bill has been one of the most active contributors to Walking Stories, and devotes much of his spare time to hiking with groups of friends Scotland and in different parts of the world. 

Many of these trips are organised in support of charities, particularly the Aberlour Trust.  (See also the Charities page).

This includes the Lares Valley trail in Peru in September 2005, photos from which have now been added to the site.  Already posted are the climb of Kilimanjaro, a high altitude Himalayan trail in India, and a desert trek in Morocco.

Bill is one of the organisers of the Easywalking Group, several of whose walks are now featured on the site. He contributed the Ben Starav story and photos himself.
