Cnoc na Croise and Kilchattan Churchyard, Isle of Gigha, Scotland

Summary

A varied circular walk taking in a low hilltop with wonderful bouncy grass and big grey rocks, with views over Argyll and the Isles. The start takes in woodland and the ancient ruined church at Kichattan.

  • The most memorable aspect was the big bouncy grassy hilltop.
  • The worst bit was a short stretch of muddy ground before rejoining a farm track at North Ardminish.
  • The funniest bit was being greeted by a pair of ducks at the start of the hill track.
  • There are no words of warning - it was a safe and easy hillwalk.
