How do I contribute a story - or a picture?

First of all, you need to register as a member.

This is easy, free, and you can choose whether you wish to have a personal profile included on the site.

Then you can submit a story of a walk, or a photo with a few paragraphs of "story" explaining what this image means for you.

There are three main things to think about when putting together your story:

  1. what was special about this walk for me?
  2. was there anything amusing or different that will interest other people?
  3. what should I point out to other walkers so that they can make the most of the walk?

All you need to do is type out your story and e-mail it to stories@walkingstories.com .

Please include a summary with these main points about the walk, and then write out the story - as long or short as you like (no need to "ramble on" like many of the current stories on the site).  And attach some digital photos if possible, to bring the walk to life.

If you're not sure what's required, e-mail us with any questions.
