OK, it's a bit of an omission to have worked on the Walking Stories website for virtually a year now, and there haven't been any walks in England yet.
Of course it's understandable, with so many great walks to cover in Scotland, but we have to admit that there are some good places to hike around England, from the rugged mountains of the Lake District to the rolling hills further south, walks around attractive towns and villages, and trails along the banks of rivers and canals.
We have now corrected this omission, just in time for the First Anniversary of the site, and to kick off the England pages there is some easy hiking around Oswestry (only just in England, but definitely part of Shropshire). Three walks around Oswestry have been posted, covering the town itself, Colemere Country Park, and a longer hiking route along Offa's Dyke, right on the border with Wales.
And then the Lake District...
