Right at the heart of Europe, the Swiss landscape is dominated by the Alps, with famous peaks such as the Eiger and the Matterhorn. Lower lying countryside to the north and west provides gentler hiking opportunities, bounded by the Jura mountains on the border with France.
We don't have any detailed Swiss walking stories or photos to show you yet, but Pat Hutchison has kindly provided a piece about her favourite walks in the Bernese Oberland. She has included other advice for those visiting the area.
