Alternative Story of Qingcheng Hou Shan gorges walk, Sichuan, China
This alternative story of the Qingcheng Hou Shan gorges walk is taken directly from the information boards which we passed along the way. Maybe we missed a few (we didn't see any for the temple itself), but they give a flavour of the language used by the Chinese to describe their scenery and its religious and historical associations. Although the English is rather fanciful at times, it's delightful to read!
It demonstrates the effort that has been put in to developing the route, with the enormous investment of effort and resources into the reconstruction of the path, and the provision of signs and information boards in English (but let's hope that Tiger Leaping Gorge doesn't get a concrete path built along it as well).
